On 05.27.2024, at the UNESCO office in Almaty, the work meeting was held with participation of administration of the Central Asian Regional Glaciological Centre of category 2 under the auspices of UNESCO (hereinafter referred to as CARGC) and Representative of the Director General of UNESCO, Mr. Amir Fazliyevich Piric, Director of the UNESCO Almaty Regional Office. At the meeting, general and technical issues of CARGC participation in the project of the Global Environment Facility (GEF), UNDP and UNESCO “Strengthening the resilience of Central Asian countries by enabling regional cooperation to assess glacio-nival systems to develop integrated methods for sustainable development and adaptation to climate change” were discussed.
